John Maamary serves as Lead, Strategic Partnering and M&A Transactions at MotionHall. John works with biotech company leadership and MotionHall's Method and Strategy Consulting team to ensure sound strategic foundations in company transaction planning, including evaluating licensing and company M&A futures, communicating licensing value potential to prospective investors, and executing on sophisticated transaction processes that generate competitive dynamics, build relationship capital for company executives, and create choice in partner, deal value and close timing.

John brings a diverse strategic and business development capability to MotionHall companies, drawing from his career experiences as a founder, investor and venture capitalist, and a unique history working hands-on in both biotech and frontier software company go-to-market settings. MotionHall Members also benefit from John’s diverse personal network and regional knowledge, with significant connections in NA, EU and MENA. John currently serves biotechnology by dividing his time between Dubai, Toronto and San Francisco.

Prior to MotionHall, John served as Managing Director at Darwinian Ventures, Venture Partner at Forum Ventures, and Head of Strategic Business Development at Allexon Health Sciences. John has a Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto with certificates in entrepreneurship, innovation and small business.
